LiTime 16V battery was originally developed from customer feedback on the performance of fish finders. Using a single battery on your fish finder, especially a 16V LiFePO4 battery, provides a more stable power supply. It effectively isolates interference from other devices on the boat, and prevents affecting the fish finder’s imaging and sonar signals. The stable power is crucial for maintaining the optimal performance of sensitive equipment like forward facing sonar and marine electronics.
With longer running time, using a traditional 12V lead-acid or LiFePO4 battery, the voltage may drop and result in erratic imaging. LiTime 16V LiFePO4 battery provides a higher voltage level to stabilize and maximize the performance of your fish finder.
1. Better Clarity & Stronger Singal: It not only enhances the clarity and brightness of the electronic display, but also produces a stronger signal for greater penetration and clearer returns from underwater, further improving the accuracy of the sonar image.
2. 25% Longer Runtime: 16V 30Ah LFP battery has higher power than 12V 30Ah LFP battery, which offers longer running time to meet your all-day fishing.
Not at all! For the same power, a higher voltage results in a lower current. It’s well known that more current generates more heat, which is the enemy of your electronics. Therefore, a 16V battery will produce less than 20% of the current as a 12V battery, resulting in less heat to reduce the risk of overheating.
Example:
A 7-inch graph is rated for 2A at 12.8V. If upgraded to a 16V battery, and maintaining the same power of 25.6W, we can calculate the current at 16V based on the power formula:
I=P/U=25.6W/16V=1.6A
Therefore, the 16V battery will not produce more heat to damage your graphs.
Yes. LiTime 16V lithium battery features low-temp cut-off protection to stop discharging below -4℉ and stop charging below 32℉. With IP65 water and dust proof, it is perfect for ice fishing.
LiTime 16V LiFePO4 battery is compatible with most fish finder brands on the market, including Raymarine, Lowrance, Garmin, Humminbird, etc. Note: If you use your Lowrance fish finder while charging, it is recommended that you add a 16.4V voltage regulator to ensure normal use.
Yes. You will need to have a charger that is specifically for 16V LiFePO4 battery. It is not compatible with chargers for 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V batteries.
No. LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices. If you need a starting battery, learn more about LiTime marine starting battery.
The LiTime 16V 30Ah lithium fish finder battery supports max. 4 batteries in parallel conncetion. Please don’t connect the battery in series.
When connect the battery in series or parallel, please make sure:
They should be identical batteries with the same capacity (Ah) and battery management system (BMS) rating (A).
They must be from the same brand, as lithium batteries from different brands have unique BMS configurations.
They should be purchased within a close timeframe (ideally within one month).
